Once again, the adventure continues. Park Players is proud to present Savannah Sipping Society. In this charming comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the monotony of their daily routines, are brought together by happy hour. Set in the south, these 4 middle aged women, perhaps some of them older, participate in “hot yoga” finding out it is not for them. Jinx, a cosmetician is thrown into the mix trying to position herself as a life coach for aging single women. Dot, Marlafaye and Randa take the opportunity to become friends, or at the very least drinking buddies. We know you will appreciate these strong Southern women and their fierce attitude towards life.
We hope you will enjoy this amazingly touching Jones, Hope, Wooten comedy directed by Cindy Pownall. And of course, as always, we welcome you back to another production of Park Players of Greenfield Park.

ABOUT THE PLAY
In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour—and decide it's high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they've lost through the years.
Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment—and most importantly, realize it's never too late to make new old friends.
So raise your glass to these strong Southern women and their fierce embrace of life and say “Cheers!” to this joyful and surprisingly touching Jones, Hope, Wooten comedy!
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR - Cindy Pownall
Welcome to our production of the Savannah Sipping Society. This play is about friendship’s strength and supportive nature and how friends can become family. I want to take this opportunity to say that it was my absolute pleasure to work with the ladies in this cast. I am incredibly proud of their commitment to making their characters come to life.
Break a leg ladies! You are the best!

COMING SOON - SPRING 2025
Park Players of Greenfield Park would like to invite you to join us again in May 2025 for our production of Lafferty’s Wake by Susan Turlish. Our darlin’ wild rover, Charlie Lafferty, is being waked in grand style in his home away from home, Rory’s Pub. Keep an eye out for more information.
Since 1961, Park Players has entertained the residents of Greenfield Park and surrounding areas. Founded by a small group of enthusiastic Greenfield Park residents in 1960, but adopting our official name in 1961, Park Players not only stages productions in the spring and fall of each year but are involved in the community year-round.
Over our time as an organization, our members have been involved in many local projects. These include lunch hour workshops for elementary school children, one act plays and activities for the “Golden Leaves”, a social centre for the elderly, and children’s plays for church potluck dinners. We are also proud to have aided in raising over $8 000 for our community organizations thanks to our concession sales over the years.
